1/ Who are we?

Zombie Scourge.com is owned and ran by Black Halo Games (BHG).

2/ Why is personal information collected?

The main reasons BHG collects information about your web visits are:

  1. Security.
  2. To provide you with a consistent gaming experience.
  3. To help enhance the quality of our sites.

3/ What personal information is collected?

Upon registration we collect:

  1. Email address.
  2. Name.

If you wish to be sent a prize you have won in a competition, we will of course require your home address.

If you access a game through Facebook, we do not even collect this information. If you register through Facebook, only your Name, ID Number, and Session is stored, in order to identify you when logging in, and to send you notifications.

4/ What happens to this information?

This personal information is used only to identify you when logging on and to send you emails and Facebook notifications regarding game activities. We never share information with a third party, unless you specifically tell us we can. The information is stored in a secure database, and all commercially reasonable steps are taken to keep this information secure.

5/ What if I don’t want to receive emails or Facebook notifications?

You can opt out of this facility at any time, by changing your Preferences.

6/ What are my rights regarding my personal information?

In many countries, and the UK is no exception, you have the right to have access to the information we hold on you at any time, although a small administration fee may be required. You also have the right to expect this information to kept factually correct. You may also have other rights. In the UK, these are covered by the Data Protection Act. If at any time you would like us to delete all your details from our database, then upon receipt of an email from the correct address, we will do so.

7/ Are we registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office?

At present, personal information is only used internally, and so we are exempt from notification. This is after discussion with ICO. If any person thinks we should not be exempt, then do let us know and we may reconsider.

8/ What non-personal information is collected and stored?

In order to facilitate the purposes mentioned earlier, we collect and store information such as your IP address, which operating system you may use, which browser is used, when you last logged on, and a number of other non-personal items. Google Analytics is also used to monitor usage of the site, which may also store additional non-personal information.
